Climate action motivates eco-friendly makeover of school curriculum

Some progressive schools in different states are incorporating environmental education into their curriculumn for teaching about climate action. Students are learning about the importance of biodiversity, conservation, and sustainable practices through hands-on activities like nature walks, planting trees, and even setting up mini composting units within the school premises.

It's wonderful to see how the Greater Chennai Corporation is taking steps to enhance the educational experience for students in its institutions. The initiative to collaborate with a not-for-profit organization like World Vision India to beautify 14 Corporation schools in Chennai is indeed commendable.


The incorporation of bright and welcoming classrooms with mural-decked walls, along with the inclusion of kitchen gardens on campus to educate kids about sustainable lifestyles, showcases a holistic approach to education. This approach not only focuses on academics but also emphasizes practical knowledge that can have a positive impact on the environment and the students' lives.
